Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

please help with screaming

My 13 month old son screams/screeches at the top of his lungs.... ALL THE TIME..... Nothing seems to make it better. If I try and stop him he tries to bite me or it gets worse. Is there a behaviorial issue that could cause this? I have litterally tried everything. I also have a 4 yr old girl who is exceptionally well behaved. So its not me causing the issue. HELP

We're going through the same thing right now with our 15 month old daughter. Her screaming, which happens at very random times, is so high pitch and loud that I feel like she's popped one of my eardrums! LOL She tends to laugh right after she screams, and also laughs when we say "shhhh" or "no screaming". And, when we shake our head "no" and put a finger over our lips (to say "shhh"), she totally cracks up while also shaking her head "no" (which is when I walk away so as to avoid laughing with her!). I realize that this is her way of expressing herself since she doesn't have speech yet (she babbles), but it's SO deafening and annoying. Any advice will be VERY MUCH appreciated!
