Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Sugary Cereal

Hello Parents! I am an advertising undergrad at University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign and I need your expertise as parents. I am doing a project on cereal brands, specifically General Mills's Cinnamon Toast Crunch. If you could answer a few short questions it would really help me out. 1.Do you buy Cinnamon Toast Crunch for your family? Why/Why not? 2. What do you think of when you hear "Cinnamon Toast Crunch?" 3. Do your children have a say in what you buy at the grocery store? 4. Did you eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch as a child or teenager? Why/Why not? I'm not looking for novels, just honest answers. Thank you again!

1. No, I do not buy this cereal. I do not buy it because we eat organic, healthy, non-GMO foods.2. Junk food. Unhealthy. Too much sugar and refined grains.3. My children, even though they are young, do get a say what the foods that I buy. I do make sure they eat a wide variety of foods and that they try new foods often. But, I'm not going to buy foods I know they absolutely will not eat.4. I did not ever eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch as a child or teenager. My mom tried to buy healthier cereals like Chex, Kix, or Alpha Bits. I occasionally got Lucky Charms as a special treat.
