depends on your doc... I've only had one at 20 weeks to see the growth and sex and for the doc to check everything out, he said he wouldn't need another one unless he feels something isn't going right... but my friend gets one once a month... so it's all about the doctor and the health of you and the baby
and what your insurance will pay. The 20 week one is normally the only one that they do unless they feel something is wrong or want to check the size of the baby.
If everything is normal you probably won't have another one. Sometimes you can get one (or more) later on if you have multiples, if the doctor suspects a problem like low fluid or an abnormal growth pattern, or if you have gestational diabetes and they want to check the size of the baby.
