Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

What is the weight limit for lifting objects? I am 8 weeks along and I just went to the doctor but with all the nervousness I forgot to ask him at the time.

I just thought of it after the appointment because during the appointment I was just so nevous and excited that it slipped my mind. It will be another month until my next appointment and I don't want to wait until then to ask. My job involves lifting boxes and such, that is why I am curious.

I was never told about any lifting restrictions by my doctor. i am now at week 33, everything with my pregnancy has been normal and healthy, and I lift 40lb boxes on a daily basis as part of my job. But if you're really concerned, call your doctor before your next appointment.
I am now 28 weeks and have been lifting things as heavy as 45lbs since I found out I was pregnant; I work on a farm. I've been lifting things this heavy for the past year before I got pregnant so my body was really used to it. I asked my doctor and he said your body would tell you if it was too much.
I'm pregnant with my third child.I'm 18 wks and my doctor and midwife (with my 1st) has always told me to not lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk.Hope this helps.
