Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

I've been trying to get pregnant for over a year now and no luck! Does being irregular affect me?

Maybe and maybe not.  There are a lot of factors that go into a woman getting pregnant, stress levels, hormones, what he/she has been eating.  The best thing to do since you are irregular is visit your doctor (regular ob to start with).  They may refer you to a specialist, but until you are seen by a physcian it's hard to say.  I've always heard and I know it's been true with 2 of my pregnancies...when you stop "trying" and stop obsessing over getting pregnant or not being pregnant that's when you get pregnant.  Start with the doctors and go from there.  Good luck!
I've had ovarian cysts too.  Mine have been extremely painful when they burst and then my periods were off and my doctor said it was because of the hormones that are in the cysts.  After one bursts your body is trying to absorb them and it can throw things off.  I still managed to get pregnant, but not while I had a cyst on my ovary and it took about 6 months after the last one went away for us to get pregnant.
I think the only way to get rid of them, if they are small and a doctor hasn't suggested surgery, is to let your body reabsorb them or wait for them to burst.  I've had several burst and not even know it when it happened.  I don't think you want to have surgery on it and I think unless there are a lot of them the doctors don't either.
Probably.  It did help me.  I watched what I ate and worked out, heavy cardio for at least 45 minutes-1 hour 4-5 days a week (you have to sweat and get your heart rate up in order to do any good).  I was on a mild drug to stimulate my metabolism and help me loose weight.  Not only did it help with my cysts but I was able to get pregnant easier too, not being as heavy.  I dropped right at about 30lbs and got pregnant within 6 months after.
I tried 4 years to get pregnant!I was told as a child I wouldnt be able to have children because my mother allowed my sister to feed me packets of birth control. That and because I have high stress levels and a slight tyrode problem. So I gave up after trying knowing it would never happen and all the disappointments of seeinf so many negative pregnancy test was just making me depressed.I had high stress levels due to my relationships I was in, My finacial standings and family was a big factor in the stress department. After stop trying I got pregnant! It was a shoker to me and my new husband. We were married only two weeks (and had no sex b4 then) and I got pregnant!!!! I am now 24.4 weeks pregnant.SO this may sound funny but give up. Lol seems thats when it happens for anyone. Just have fin "not trying"Also check with you OB see what they say. Even sometimes they are wrong. It might not just be your time
Do you know why you are irregular? That would be a good place to start. If its because you have pcos or something like that then that could definitely be why you aren't getting pregnant. I would talk to your dr and see what they say. Does your ob know you've benn trying with no luck? I agree about when you stop trying being when it will happen. Something about being stressed about it keeps it from happening. I don't know what or why though lol. I hope that all goes well and you get the beautiful baby you've been trying for. Good luck :)
You need to talk to your doctor. You may need a referral to an infertility specialist.
Do you think it could be something bad?
I have no idea. All I know is that these days, if you are under 30 and can't get pregnant, most doctors will either do testing or will send you to a fertility specialist. If you are over 30, they will let you try for six months.there isn't much more info that anyone can give you over the Internet. Only a doctor can help you figure out what is going on.
Oh! ok, well thank you so much, for this information! ima go with a infertility specialist. So he can tell me what my problem is.
