Girls' Hooded Sweatshirts Recalled

[BOLD {December 21, 2007}]

Liberty Apparel Co. Inc., of New York, NY has recalled 12,000 Jewel brand girls' hooded sweatshirts because of a strangulation hazard posed by the drawstring in the hood.

The recalled sweatshirts were sold in two styles: the "Big Heart" zip-up long sleeve hoodie sweatshirts with style #J2173k/sk in black, pink, and purple and the "Small Starts" long sleeve hoodie sweatshirts with style #J2174k/sk in green, khaki, navy and orange. The sweatshirts were sold in small, medium, large, and extra-large sizes at Marshalls and other specialty children's clothing stores nationwide from August 2007 to November 2007 for $10.

Parents should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts or return the sweatshirts to the store where purchased or Liberty Apparel for a refund. For more information, call Liberty Apparel Co. collect at (212) 768-3030 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET Monday to Friday.
