Silver Earrings Recalled

June 12, 2007

About 5,300 silver stud earrings sold exclusively at Kmart are being recalled due to high levels of lead which can be toxic if ingested by young children.

The recalled earrings, imported by Crimzon Rose Accesories, are oval and have silver-colored studs. "ACCESSORIES" is printed on the front of the packaging and "Kmart" is printed on the back. The earrings were sold for about $3 at Kmart stores nationwide from October 2004 to March 2007.

Consumers should immediately stop using the earrings and return them to any Kmart store for a free replacement pair. For more information, call (800) 659-7026 between 7 A.M. and 9 P.M.
