A day in the life of Marissa Kraxberger, mom of two, VP of creative at Oscar de la Renta, and voice behind the brand's new kid fashion blog, georgeandruby.com.
5:30 A.M.: Hit the gym. While I'm on the elliptical, I'm on my iPad reading The Giver, by Lois Lowry.
7 A.M.: Back home. Alexa, 3, and Hayden, 21 months, are up. The first word out of their mouths: iPad. I hand it over so they can play Toca Boca Kitchen Monsters.
7:15 A.M.: Picking out my children's clothes is my favorite part of the morning. Alexa begs to wear her princess-fairy outfit.
8:30 A.M.: I snap a shot of the kids for Instagram before rushing out the door.
9:15 A.M.: A meeting to discuss our fall childrenswear-campaign shoot in Portugal and casting the kids for the shoot. We're always looking for kids with the right personality.
9:30 A.M.: I meet Alexa for a mommy-and-me ballet class. While the other kids run around like mad, Alexa mimics the teacher's every move. She takes it very seriously.
11 A.M.: I review the latest ad-campaign photos with Oscar for final approval. He lights up with a smile, and asks if I can load them onto his iPad.
2 P.M.: Lunchtime. I eat microwave popcorn and look at pictures of the kids my nanny has sent.
7 P.M.: I sprint to the subway to catch the express train in hopes of making it home before Hayden goes to bed.
7:15 P.M.: I made it! I kick off my heels and sit down to paint with Alexa and Hayden.
7:45 P.M.: The kids and I watch 15 minutes of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, my all-time favorite movie, before bed.
8 P.M.: The soundtrack of Pride & Prejudice lulls them to sleep. It works like magic.
8:30 P.M.: My husband, Nathan, and I are on the sofa catching up on recent episodes of The Office. I'm also writing my next blog post and ordering essentials on diapers.com. I always try to do at least three things at once—with a glass of wine in hand.
