NPR Interviews Sec. of Education Arne Duncan on Mom Congress

Today NPR interviewed U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on his speech at the Mom Congress conference. In the interview, Secretary Duncan said he was "honored to be a part of Mom Congress," and thought that the Mom Congress delegates' "interest in education was extraordinary." Secretary Duncan also said that the Department of Education hopes to double federal funding for parental engagement and family involvement in education in the 2011 fiscal year. Sounds right on point with the Mom Congress mission!
