Microsoft Deals for Schools

Budget cuts to education are getting really real in Washington State.  This week our district superintendent is presenting to parents about the budget crisis and what we can do to support our schools.  At this point, parents are looking at all kinds of revenue streams to pick up where we lack in state and federal funding.  Now Microsoft is offering non-profits that support schools a way to make money for their organizations while supporting local businesses.

Microsoft Deals for Schools is an extension of BingDeals.com, a website that offers one fabulous deal each day in your local area.  If you sign your PTA or booster club up with Microsoft Deals for Schools, you can earn a commission every time someone in your community purchases one of the deals through one of your affiliate links.  The money is then sent to your organization every quarter.

You can also encourage local businesses to sign up and offer deals on the site and your organization will earn a commission whenever that business sells a deal.  This is money you can earn for your school with very little effort on your part and it's a good chance for businesses and non-profits to partner to benefit education.

When someone’s offering free money for schools, I take it.  How about you?
