In Celebration of Childhood Literacy: Read.Connect.Grow

Mom Congress

Have you hugged a book today? October 7 kicks off Read.Connect.Grow, a special Mom Congress childhood literacy series which will roll out in three U.S. cities this October: At Georgetown University in Washington, DC today; the James J. Hill Library in St. Paul, MN on October 14th; and concluding at the New York City Public Library on October 21st.

In an effort to spotlight the importance of early literacy, each event will feature presentations from notable leaders in education and advocacy, and beloved storybook authors will share tips that will encourage parents to get kids to pick up the books and never put them down.

You can still R.S.V.P for the next two events, but if you can't make one, celebrate books with your family today, by reading our 30 favorite books for raising a reader and these great books for preschoolers.
