Know your curriculum! Do you know the benchmarks for your child's grade? Do you understand your child's homework? Do you know what your child's teacher is teaching and why? If the answer to any of those questions is "no" then it's time to get organizing. Meet with your principal about organizing curriculum evenings at your school. One for English Arts, one for math, etc. Get a few teachers on board and your parents' association and start to bridge that gap between school and home!
