Today is my last post here at Parenting. It has nothing to do with Parenting and everything to do with me. (Wait, did I just give the "It's not you; it's me," breakup excuse?) Truthfully, it was a very flattering proposal to blog for the kind people at Parenting, but ultimately I realized that I'm not a writer — I just play one on the Internet.
So, I'm going back to my small little corner of the networked world and pretend to be a writer in my own loony head with the rest of my semi-imaginary friends. By all means, you are welcome to join my self-absorbed world over there.
It has been a great experience blogging for Parenting and I'm still flattered by the opportunity to contribute to their weekly lineup. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read my ramblings and comment on my posts. I will be back to add my two cents on occasion since there continues to be four great writers at The Parenting Post, and I'm sure Ganda (our editor) will find another terrific blogger to satiate your Thursday thirst.
(Why is this sounding so melodramatic?)
Anyway, I'm sure I'll see many of you again around the watercooler.
*Cheesy title, I know, but we taught B&B some of the songs from The Sound of Music and now it is Julie Andrews 24/7 in this house. I CAN.NOT. get that song out of my head.
