A friend of mine (a new dad) just posted an awesome list of the 10 Things You Should Know Before You Visit New Parents. My favorite:
"5. Upon visiting the new parents, wash your hands; this will make mom feel better and think more highly of you as a righteous, upstanding citizen - and, someone worthy of holding her prized golden baby snow monkey."
(For the record, his newborn golden baby snow monkey has delicious-looking cheeks and enough dark black hair for a wee toupée.)
What would you include on your list of things people should know before visiting new parents?
