Want to capture every glorious moment of your baby’s birth in the delivery room? Not if new no-camera policies have anything to say about it.
Some hospitals across the country have banned photography and video-recording during birth, allowing parents to snap pics only after doctors have given permission. The policies reflect some hospitals’ concerns with “protecting the privacy of the medical staff, many of whom have no desire to become instant celebrities on Facebook or YouTube,” nytimes.com reports.
No surprise here: the camera ban has left some parents outraged. (One disgruntled expectant mom even started an online petition against her local hospital’s photo restrictions.)
What do you think? Should parents have the right to document their baby’s birth?
