Oy veh, you’ve got to check out this hilarious visual dictionary of popular Yiddish phrases. The illustrations are wonderfully kitsch: Sweet babies wiping their eyes when they’re getting ferklempt; babies smiling slyly at an illustrated fortz (yep, that’s a fart!); babies with enormous fake schnozzes. It’s irresistibly funny!
In the craze to make kids multilingual—and with the flood of bilingual books coming out—I love that this novelty coffee table book is far from taking itself seriously. Also available by the same author: Hip Hop for Dogs.
