Keep an eye out for the March issue of VOGUE: The First Mom will be on the cover! (Wearing a "sleek and sleeveless magenta silk dress designed by Jason Wu," according to the New York Times--Wu is the 26-year-old designer who designed the gorgeous dress that Mrs. Obama wore to the inaugural balls.)
Vogue has published photos of all the first ladies since Lou Hoover, President Herbert Hoover's wife, except for Bess Truman. (I wonder why ol' Bess declined? I'll have to look into that.) But Mrs. Obama will be only the second to appear on the cover--Hillary Clinton was on the cover in '98.
