First Family Watch: A White House Dog is Finally Coming!

After months of speculation, First Lady Michelle Obama has confirmed that the family is hoping to get a Portuguese water dog from a shelter some time in April. The mid-sized breed usually has black, white or brown curly hair, and is known for being a gentle, fun-loving family dog. The appeal to the Obamas? They’re virtually hypo-allergenic (Malia is allergic). Plus, they come recommended by Senator Ted Kennedy, who has two.

The name? The first lady has already vetoed Frank and Moose but the final selection is TBD.
