Join the World's Largest Exercise Class

As a Pilates junkie and spin class regular, I was thrilled to read about Project ACES Day, which is often considered the world’s largest exercise class.

Millions of children across the globe will walk, bike, or jog today as part of Project ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously) Day. It takes place annually on the first Wednesday each May as part of Exercise is Medicine Month, National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and National Physical Education Week.

Although it’s been going on for more than 20 years, Project ACES Day is becoming more popular with kids in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East participating.

Many schools are showing that exercise is more than just running laps by introducing different sports. For an international slant, try cricket and croquet. Or choose a sport that isn’t common in your home state. After living in land-locked Illinois, I love catching crew meets and sailing with my brother in Boston.
