Ground Beef Recalled Due to E.Coli Contamination

On the heels of the massive ground turkey recall earlier this month, the USDA has announced a recall of 60,000 pounds of ground beef. The ground beef, produced by the National Beef Packing Co in Dodge City, Kansas, could possibly be contaminated with E. coli 0157:H7.

The recalled meat was sold at Publix, Winn-Dixie, Walmart and Kroger supermarkets in the Southeast, but it was also sent to several distributors and may have been repackaged for sale nationwide. Each recalled package contains the number “Est. 262” on the USDA inspection sticker. The USDA has a complete list of expiration dates and product codes.
