It’s easy to get overwhelmed planning a nursery. What if you drop all this money and it just doesn’t come together? Now you can see how it looks before you buy, courtesy of baby bedding company Carousel Designs. The company has just launched Version 3 of their Nursery Designer interactive design tool, allowing users to design their own baby bedding, virtually paint their nursery walls with real Benjamin Moore paint colors and choose from a wider range of crib finishes and flooring options.
The site’s Inspirations and Ideas section is chock full of good starting places for the design-stunted, and for parents who find starting from near-scratch too overwhelming, there’s also a full range of complete bedding sets, sortable by gender, theme, color, material and pattern (which are also customizable). But we’re swooning over the latest edition of the Nursery Designer tool, as we contemplate a variety of wood varnishes and paint colors for the crib, wall colors, and flooring options (a range of wooden stains as well as carpeting). Today we’re feeling pretty modern… tomorrow kinda retro… and so we love picking from the 300+ fabric choices, including solids, prints, and organic options, checking out the tool’s suggestions for coordinating fabrics, and being just as fickle as every mama-to-be deserves to be when selecting her baby’s nest. And the best part? The prices are totally reasonable, and the company’s products and customer service are great (we’ve ordered from them ourselves with delightful results).
