When it comes to teaching kids about online safety, which parent takes more action? Dads do, according to a new Yahoo! survey. While 78% of parents overall are concerned with their child's online safety, 71% of dads (versus 63% of moms) have chats with their kids about online privacy and check their computer's privacy settings. Dads also emphasize the importance of having a positive digital reputation more than moms do, and use filters more often than moms to limit which websites kids can access.
Who handles the internet safety chats in your house? Do you ever search for your child online? (53% of dads do it 2-3 times per year -- compared to 33% of moms).
