Disney+ is Finally Here! Everything You Need to Know About Disney’s New Streaming Service
by Hilary Braaksma
For months we’ve been anticipating the launch of Disney+. Disney’s new subscription streaming service comes fully stocked with their classic hits, recent releases and more. The video on-demand service officially launches in the US on November 12—but eager fans can pre-order the service now.
Disney+ will include content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. Along with their archive of animated family favorites, the first two Star Wars trilogies and Marvel movies, fans can enjoy original Disney Channel TV shows and movies, and all new Disney releases six to ten months after their theater release.
If you’re wary about adding yet another subscription service to your roster of entertainment options, consider this—not only does Disney plan to stop licensing their content to other platforms, but Disney+ comes in at $7 a month, making it one of the most affordable subscription streaming services around. If you’re a parent or just a hardcore Disney, Marvel or Star Wars fan, it’s definitely worth investing in. If you already subscribe to Disney-owned Hulu, you can bundle Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ for only $13 a month.
