How to Make a Bento Box Ham Flower

Here's a step-by-step photo guide to making a ham flower to be used in our 20 easy bento box lunch ideas.

Use this technique for the bunny, caterpillar, piggy, hedgehog, cow, sheep, panda and flower bento boxes.

1. Start with a piece of ham; you can use round or square. This technique can also work with turkey or a thin-cooked egg omelet.

2. Cut lines in the middle of ham, but not all the way.

3. Fold the ham in half.

4. Roll up the folded ham.

5. Make sure to keep a fairly tight roll to keep the "stem" of the flower together.

6. Fan out the petals of the ham flower and tuck into a bento box lunch.
