How to Make a Tiger Bento Lunch Box
Here’s how to make an easy tiger bento lunch box using a rice ball, meatballs and veggies
For the tiger's face and ears, you can mix an egg yolk in with cooked rice ball mixture and form into patties, as shown here. Leftover breaded chicken would work, too. You can also use a sealed sandwich for the face, and bread triangles for the ears.
Antichoking warning: Remember to remove toothpicks and cut up blueberries, grapes, carrots and other food for children under 4. See our Antichoking guide for more information.
Make a veggie garden with corn and carrot-stuffed grape tomato halves and broccoli sprinkled with carrot flowers.
Use seaweed for the whiskers, stripes, eyes, nose and mouth and cheese triangles for the ears.
Make mini meatball sandwiches for a fun side. Use a scallop-edged cookie cutter shape on cheese slices and stuff in between meatball halves. Secure with a toothpick.
Mixed grapes make a colorful and healthy dessert, but you can use any of your kid's favorite fruits. Skewer on toothpicks to make mini fruit kabobs.
