Biscuit's Pet & Play Easter by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
This board book is not only durable for little, not always gentle hands, but it also is full of sensory exploration. Your infant or toddler will love reading about the lovable yellow dog Biscuit for Easter.
The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams
While this book isn't specifically about Easter, hear us out. This book has bunnies and is just a classic must-have for your family's bookshelves. Your preschooler will enjoy this timeless book as much as your grade-schooler. Read it and discuss it as a family during Easter and throughout the rest of the year.
The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
Oh Peter, why do you have to be so curious about Mr. McGregor's garden? Explore this classic story with your kids this Easter and help them learn a bit about obeying rules and staying out of trouble. Plenty of options of this tale are available for your child, from board books for toddlers to beautifully illustrated editions for your grade-schooler.
Here Comes Peter Cottontail by Kristen L. Depken
You probably remember the song about Peter "hoppin' down the bunny trail," and now the tale that was originally a song and a television special is a book. It is not only seasonally appropriate, but it helps preschoolers with reading readiness because it works well in the Reader books format.
Corduroy's Easter Lift-the-Flap by Don Freeman
Join Corduroy, the lovable bear from "A Pocket for Corduroy," as he explores springtime and gets ready for Easter while you lift flaps to show more of the story. Your toddler and preschooler will love this one.
On That Easter Morning by Mary Joslin
This colorful book, based on the Bible, retells the story of Jesus from Palm Sunday through Easter. This book is a wonderful complement to the original story that children of any age would enjoy.
Madame Blue's Easter Hullabaloo (A Veggie Tales Book) by Karen Poth
Veggie Tales gives us a poignant reminder as we read about Madame Blue while she worries about her perfect Easter celebration and then remembers the real reason for the holiday. This book is great for a variety of ages.
Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey
Your child will love hearing this tale about a mother duck and her little ones as they go throughout the town together. This one doesn't necessarily have an Easter theme, but ducklings and springtime walks shout Easter to us.
Humpty Dumpty by Salina Yoon
It's not Easter unless you talk a little bit about eggs, right? This beautiful board book by Salina Yoon features sort of an Easter twist on an otherwise depressing ending for good ol' Humpty Dumpty. (Spoiler alert: Easter Bunny and friends find a way to put Humpty Dumpty together again. Take that, all the king's men.)
