Girl Writes Angry Notes to Parents after Learning Santa's Not Real

The Short of It

A little girl from Maryland writes angry letters to her parents after they tell her the truth about Santa.

The Lowdown

Belle Adams' parents decided to bite the bullet and tell her the truth about Santa this year, and the little girl is NOT happy about it.

I mean, it had to happen eventually, right? But after dropping the massive truth bomb, Belle's parents, Nicki and Michael, found four angry, handwritten notes under their door from their 10-year-old daughter, including one that showcased a drawing of two hands holding up the middle finger that was labelled: #middlefingeremoji.

So she wasn't in the loop about Santa, but she totally was up to speed on hashtags and the middle finger. Gotta give the girl props!

Which is exactly what Nicki did, by posting pictures of her daughter's notes to Facebook with this message: "Belle asked point blank about Santa and she's been asking every day. So we were truthful and she may never speak to us again......especially when we lost our ever loving s*** at the pictures that she slid under the door to us.....‪#‎dontlaugh‬."

Nicki's post has been shared more than 21,000 times, no doubt thanks to Belle's furious yet heartfelt message: "You have no idea what you just did," the first note began. "I really tried to belive. Everyone told me its your parents. I can't belive you anymore. Is the easter bunny real, how about the tooth fairy huh? You just ruiend a 10 year old's childs LIFE thanks. [sic]"

The Upshot

As social media makes it easier for kids to find out the truth behind Santa, it seems like more and more parents are eager to hop on the spill-the-beans bandwagon in an effort to get there first.

Did the Adams' make the big reveal to Belle too soon? Tell us what you think!
