The Short of It
An Australian mom's honest post about what it's like to have s-e-x after kids is going viral.
Have you ever had "Parent Sex"? If you're not sure what it is, Constance Hall will happily get you up to speed. The Australian mom's post, which contains a hilariously candid description of what it's really like to get it on with your partner after having kids, is striking a cord with thousands of parents online.
"We had 'parent sex' yesterday," Hall wrote on Facebook. "You know what parent sex is. It's that 3.5 minutes you get in-between changing nappies and making food, where you realize it's been almost a month... Where you position the bed to have one foot against the door because for a loud bunch of kids, yours can be pretty quiet when they're sneaking up on people."
The struggle is real!
Hall told Mic News she was inspired to write the post on social media after noticing so many parents on Facebook insinuating they had amazing sex lives.
"I wondered if that was true cause it sure as sh*t wasn't happening for us," she said. "I've always said if it's not honest, it's not worth writing. And apparently everyone was dying for someone to admit that parent sex is weird as f@#k!"
The post has already racked up more than 130,000 likes and 34,000 shares, much to Hall's delight.
"So I've been trying to act all cool like ptf whatevs... But seriously?? I'm so over excited and temporarily up myself I can't cope," she wrote in a follow-up post. "All these new followers... I actually got recognised as the facey parent shagger... I kissed the woman all over her face and I made her pretend she loved it."
