The Short of It
New holiday photos of Prince George have been released, and let's just say he is one adorable little guy!
Prince William and Kate Middleton released three adorable new pics of their 16-month-old son this weekend. In the sweet shots, taken in a courtyard at Kensington Palace in November, the toddler sports a Polarn O. Pyret jumpsuit and a Cath Kidston sweater vest adorned with royal guards. The outfit is completed with a pair of knee socks and mini-dress shoes.
Of course, Prince George seems to know you're never fully dressed without a smile. He mugs playfully for the camera, even making a funny face in one picture. It's nice to see the royals have a sense of humor about themselves!
Meanwhile, I would love to see the outtakes from this photo shoot. I know all too well how challenging it can be to get a child George's age to cooperate come holiday picture time. Over the weekend, I literally spent an hour trying to get one shot of my 17-month-old daughter where she wasn't crying, sucking her thumb or picking her little nose. Finally, I had to settle for a picture of her eating a pretzel by the Christmas tree. At least she was smiling.
It seems these photos of the future King of England were meant to be a sort of holiday gift from his parents.
According to a statement released by the palace, the soon-to-be parents-of-two shared the shots in "grateful acknowledgment of the fact that their request for Prince George to grow up without intrusion from photography has been, and continues to be, honored."
Well, thank you Will and Kate!
