The Short of It
Little girl dials 911 for a fashion emergency!
Getting dressed is serious business for a 2-year-old girl named Aliyah in South Carolina. So serious, in fact, that the toddler called 911, asking for help when she couldn't get her pants on!

Apparently, her parents didn't know she had made the call, and deputy Martha Lohnes was sent to investigate.
"The door opened up, and she comes running out to the front with half a pant leg on, and she's just like 'HEY,'" Lohnes told WSPA TV. "I just ended up sitting down on the stairs helping her put on the rest of her pants, and then it was almost like a reward; she just wanted a hug."

This adorable story also has a pretty big takeaway: Do your kids know how to dial 911? Mine do now that they're older, but did I teach them back when they were toddler age? I'm not so sure.
Aliyah's mom, Pebbles Ryan, told WSPA TV that even though she's spoken to Aliyah about 911 before, she was still surprised she was able to make the call.
"We've pointed out the numbers," she said. "But it completely surprised me that she actually did it."

Lohnes, however, has nothing but admiration for the little girl.
"I thought it was awesome that at 2 years old, she knew to call 911 at all," she said.
