The Short of It
In honor of Mother's Day, pregnancy test brand Clearblue created a video featuring real women's pregnancy announcements. And it's adorable.
Clearblue is calling the pregnancy announcement a woman's first "Mother's Day moment." And the video they've released is full of family members and friends reacting to women's pregnancy announcements. If you could use a pick-me-up, you've got to watch these excited, enthusiastic and emotional responses.
Former "Bachelorette" DeAnna Pappas Stagliano and country music artist Jessie James Decker both make appearances and tell brief versions of how they found out they were pregnant.
"Nothing compares to that moment when you find out you're pregnant. I was in my bathroom at home feeling ecstatic and nervous all at the same time," said DeAnna in a press release. "I couldn't wait to tell my husband our dream was finally coming true."
I was a bit stoic about this video until I saw the future grandpa in the garage's reaction. Then I totally lost it. Watch it. You'll see what I mean.
I also love the sentiment. It's true: The moment you become pregnant, you start to feel responsibility and protectiveness over this new little life. And when you announce it to your family and friends, it feels even more real that from now on, you'll be known as someone's mom.
As Jessie says in the video: Happy Mother's Day!
