The Mini Adventures of Moe the Caterpillar are based on the imaginations of all young children. From weekend trips at the zoo to t...he first day of school, Moe can do anything and go anywhere across the USA and around the world. All you need to do is let your mind run free and create fun and excitement from everything you see and do. First, Moe the Caterpillar goes to school where he befriends a little girl who builds him a home called a Moe Hut. Other caterpillars of different sizes, shapes and colors, all become friends as they change and grow. Then Moe goes to the zoo, where he swings through the treetops with a monkey, rides high on a giraffe, and slides down the trunk of an elephant. Meet these exciting creatures along with Moe while he has a wonderful day at the zoo. Lastly, Moe the Caterpillar is off to the circus, where he helps the lion tamers with the snap of a whip, dresses up to "clown" around, and defies gravity high above the floor in the trapeze act. The Mini Adventures of Moe the Caterpillar come alive in these bedtime stories, created from the imaginations of children everywhere. read more

King Not's Powers was written with a two-fold purpose in mind. First and foremost, the book teaches five (5) different prefixes t...hat mean "not" in the most creative manner imaginable. As an added bonus, it tells the story of how a selfish king's mission to exalt himself catapulted into a mission to bring happiness to others. read more

In his novella -Stuff Happens- Markowitz combines elements of fiction and non fiction in a new form he calls "friction" - a combin...ation of the fictitious with the real. In The Practice and Other Stories he writes short stories with satiric wit and Jewish humor about working class New York characters he had observed during his growing-up years. Greatly influenced by the movies, he often turns a satiric camera eye on the details of every day life. With the publication of Bubbie and Zadie Save the Day Markowitz retells a Romanian folk tale that his mother often told to him and his siblings as a rather unusual bed time story. Xlibris is the publisher of all three books. read more

Life Can Be a Smile Story of a six year old who is enrolled in classes for the disadvantaged. Cassy is a small young girl who was ...born with a severe speech disability. Cassy has light red hair that she likes to wear in pigtail but some days she just likes messy hair. Life can be a smile tells of how she handles day to day trials from teachers, students, school staff and the outside world who treat her as if she was mentally slow or deaf. The superintendent of her school tried to enroll her at a state school for the deaf. This failed due to the mother defying them by keeping her with the family and attending local schools. Even though she has hardships on a daily basis she is always smiling. Cassy believes life can be a smile and her favorite saying is "Be Happy." She wants everyone to like everyone else but it never turns out quite that way. Her best friends are a dog, a black and white spotted goat and a cockatiel. Her defenders are her older sister, by two years, and her mom who went toe to toe for justice. As Cassy ages she still finds the same obstacles through school. No one ever changes their minds until the day she ran for prom queen and came down the walkway looking like a beautiful young woman. This was the only time the students and public saw her in a different light. Her escort was surprised and very proud to walk her down the isle. The story comes from life experiences. I would like to see this book as the beginning of a series of books pertaining to the speech impairment and how the child deals with the issues throughout childhood. I am also working on a manuscript that is non-fiction of how Cassy's life affected her and her family. The children's book is only the tip of the iceberg. Email: email@example.com read more
