The Sturmgesch ¼tz III (StuG. III) has the distinction of being Germanyâ s most widely produced AFV of WWII, with 10,619 eventuall...y manufactured. Based on the chassis of the Panzer III, it was cheaper and faster to build since it did not have a rotating turret. Once German troops began encountering heavily armored Russian tanks, the StuG III Ausf.F was fitted with a longer 7.5cm gun. This marked its first true emergence as a tank destroyer rather than as an infantry support vehicle. The further modified Ausf.F/8 was produced from September-December 1942, with 250 vehicles built. It was based on an improved hull from the Panzer III J/L, and so it had thicker rear armor. It featured a 7.5cm StuK L/48 main gun. The â 8â designation came about because it was the eighth update to the Panzer III hull. Models are supplied unpainted and assembly is required. read more

Sd.Kfz.232 Pz.Aufkl.Abt.4 4.Pz. Division, Eastern Front 1943 (1:72) by Dragon Armor Item Number: DRR60586Germany created a number ...of successful schwerer Panzerspahwagen ('heavy armored reconnaissance vehicles') to support its forces. Among them was the family based on the Sd.Kfz.231 8-Rad ('eight-wheel') design. The Sd.Kfz.232 accommodated extra radio equipment and a large frame antenna for longer-distance communication. The armored car's Bussing-NAG 8x8 chassis offered good cross-country mobility and the vehicle also possessed eight-wheel steering. There were dual driver's controls, which meant the vehicle could drive rapidly in either direction if it came under attack. The 8.3-tonne design was ordered in 1934, and both the Sd.Kfz.231 and 232 featured a hexagonal-shaped turret mounting a 2cm KwK 30 cannon plus one MG34 machine gun. Production of the Sd.Kfz.232 ceased in 1943 in favor of the newer Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma.Dragon Armor has done it again by producing another brand new item! It's an Sd.Kfz.232 and it features ALL NEW TOOLING. The unique shape of this 8x8 armored vehicle is beautifully captured, and the antenna frame is finely rendered. This type of vehicle was more common during the early part of WWII, so it's fitting that the model represents a vehicle fighting in Eastern Front 1943. This Sd.Kfz.232 bears the markings of the 4th Panzer Division, and it's painted in a typical camouflage scheme. read more

The Churchill infantry tank is a most distinctive design with its extremely long chassis and wraparound tracks. Named after the Br...itish Minister of Defence of the time, the Churchill tank was very well armored. It was produced in a series of versions that offered heavier armor and more powerful armament as the war progressed. The Mk.III, weighing in at 39,626kg, arrived on the scene in March 1942. It featured a 6-pounder gun in the all-welded turret, and the hull-mounted howitzer fitted in previous variants was deleted. The Churchill Mk.III was famously involved in the failed landing at Dieppe in northern France on 19 August 1942. The raid landed more than 3,600, mostly Canadian, soldiers, of which 60% were killed, wounded or captured. This item represents a Churchill Mk.III of the type that went ashore at Dieppe, which has an extended exhaust pipes for deep wading. read more
Churchill Mk. III "King Force" Alamein 1942 (1:72) by Dragon Diecast ArmorItem Number: DRR60592Dragon Armor is issuing its second ...ever 1/72 scale model of a Churchill infantry tank, and again it's the interesting Mk.III variant. This time the Churchill is finished in the colors and markings of one of six tanks dispatched to Egypt in North Africa in late 1942. They formed what was known as KingForce, named after the detachment_??s commander, Major Norris King. The Mk.III, weighing in at 39,626kg, featured a 6-pounder gun in an all-welded turret. The Kingforce vehicles arrived just in time for the Second Battle of El Alamein in October 1942, where they were placed under the command of the 1st Armoured Division. They acquitted themselves well, and the heavyweight Churchills withstood a good deal of punishment. For example, one Churchill Mk.III was hit 30 times but suffered nothing worse than a broken track during the fierce combat! This new KingForce Churchill Mk.III from Dragon Armor is painted in a distinctive camouflage scheme consisting of Light Stone No.61 over the base color S.C.C. No.2 khaki brown. The rendering of the scheme and color tones is professionally done. This model tank carries the registration number 'T31954R', with the 'R' indicating the original tank had been reworked. For modelers wishing to own a somewhat rare Churchill, and one that_??s finished in a color other than green, this majestic miniature is fit for a king! read more
