Contains five M3 Stuart tanks. This box contains unpainted miniatures that may require assembly.
The M5 variant of the Stuart light tank stemmed from the suggestion to the Ordnance Department that the M3 version be fitted with ...the twin Cadillac engines and the Cadillac Hydra-matic transmission. These components were, at the time being manufactured and fitted to commercial vehicles. After successful trials, compounded by a shortage of Continental engines, the Cadillac modified version of the Stuart approved for production in February 1942. The new version was originally designated the Light Tank M4 but this was later changed to M5 to avoid confusion with the M4 medium tank or Sherman. The M5A1 Stuart light tank proved time and again that speed was an essential element of armored infantry support and flank protection. Armed with a 37mm gun and two machine guns the Stuarts proved themselves to be more than adequate in dealing with the German mobile infantry. In Flames Of WarOnce the enemy line has been broken the Stuart light tank use their speed to race forward to exploit the break though and wreak havoc behind enemy lines. Their speed also allows them to out manoeuvre slower tanks and take advance of their weaker side armor. read more

The Polish infantry divisions substituted modern technology for raw guts and men. A Battalion Piechoty puts you in command of an i...nfantry force determined to protect its country at all costs. The Polish rifle company is an unusually strong formation with 232 officers and men, nearly 50% larger than its German counterpart. Each of its three rifle platoons has three 19-man sections. With just a single wz. 28 automatic rifle (a licensed copy of the American Browning Automatic Rifle) in each 19-man squad, the main firepower of a platoon comes from its riflemen. These are armed with the Mauser Karabin wz. 98a, the same weapon as their German counterparts. The companyâ s three 7.92mm wz. 35 anti-tank rifles are capable of penetrating the armor of most German tanks. These weapons were top secret until the start of the war as they use tungsten-cored ammunition to obtain an outstanding penetration for such a small-caliber weapon. The company also has a squad of three 46mm wz. 36 light mortars, usually assigned one to each platoon. In addition, the battalion usually supports each company with a platoon of wz. 30 machine-guns from the heavy machine-gun company. Box contains:1x Command Rifle team.1x Anti-tank Rifle team.1x Light Mortar team.12 x Rifle teams. read more

The Jagdpanzer 38(t) was intended to provide the German infantry divisions with a tank-hunter with better survivability. It was be...tter armored than the earlier Panzerj ger and Marder designs with an armored front plate of 60mm sloped back at 60 degrees from the vertical. It carried a reasonably powerful gun, was mechanically reliable and small and easily concealed. It was also cheap to build utilizing the Skoda factory and much of the production facilities previously used to make the Panzer 38(t) and much of the Marder III series. The Jagdpanzer 38(t) succeeded the Marder III in production from April 1944; about 2584 were built until the end of the war. The older Marder III Panzerjager series retained the same chassis as Panzer 38(t). The Hetzer was 5-tons heavier than the Marder III due to the enclosed fighting compartment and increased armor. To compensate for the increased weight, track width was increased from 293mm to 350mm and the overall vehicle width was also increased. The Hetzer equipped the Panzerj gerabteilungen (tank-hunter battalions) of the infantry divisions, giving them some mobile anti-armor capability. The 7.5cm PaK39 gun of the Hetzer was the same gun fitted to StuGs and similar to those fitted to Panzer IV tanks. It could destroy nearly all Allied tanks in service at long ranges and its enclosed armor protection made it a safer vehicle to crew than the Marder II or Marder III series. The Hetzer mounted a remote-control machine-gun mount that could be fired from within the vehicle. However, to reload the crew needed to open the hatch and expose themselves to enemy fire. Includes five Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer Tank Destroyers with Flammpanzer 38 option. read more

When t...he Tiger was introduced in 1942 it was a weapon un-equaled in performance and protection, there was little the Allies in the Tunisia or Russia could do to knock them out. It had its disadvantages (it was slow and a little unreliable to start with), but at the time its clear advantages outweighed these. The original Panzer IV entered service before the start of the Second World War, while the last model into production, the Panzer ...IV J, fought through to the end. The Panzer IV J retains most of the features of the earlier Panzer IV H, but replaces the power traverse with a hand-cranked system due to shortages of critical materials. Production has also been simplified by removing unnecessary vision slots, reducing the number of return rollers, and other economy measures. With a penetration of 96mm (3.8â ) of sloped armor at 500m, the 7.5cm KwK40 gun of the Panzer IV out performs most tanks in its weight class and can take on any medium tank in existence. The Panzer IV/70 tank was derived from the Jagdpanzer IV tank-hunter. The Jagdpanzer IV was designed as a replacement for the StuG... G and StuG IV. It became known as Guderianâ s Duck after General Heinz Guderian objected to its introduction. He felt that the StuG assault guns were more than adequate and production resources were better spent on Panzer IV tanks. Early in the design process it was decided to arm the new vehicle with the 7.5cm PaK 42 L/70 gun as found in the excellent Panther tank. These new models began production in August 1944.Two versions saw use in Hungary, the interim Panzer IV/70 (A), which mounted the superstructure on a Panzer IV tank hull, and the Panzer IV/70 (V), which used the specially designed Jagdpanzer IV hull and superstructure. Both had the same thickness of front armor, but the Panzer IV/70 (V) was lower and had a better integrated hull and superstructure with well-sloped armor. However, both versionsâ armor and long gun made them nose heavy and slow moving. All Parachute Rifleman are volunteers. They are some of the best motivated, best trained, best paid, and the best dressed troopers... in the US Army. Parachute Rifle Companies are the bravest of the brave. Due to the haste of their departure from Mourmelon camp, there was a shortage of weapons among the men when the 101st Airborne arrived at Bastogne. Additional weapons were taken from retreating 28th Infantry Division soldiers and found discarded along the roads. Eventually, the platoons became fully equipped, but some Parachute Rifle Platoons entered combat without their full complement of weapons. With the best equipment going around including M1 Garand rifles, gammon bombs, light air cooled M1919A4 machine-guns, an M1 Bazooka, M2 60mm mortar, a smattering submachine-guns and a never say die attitude, these guys are ready to take on all comers. read more
