As a child, did you pretend to live in a castle by arranging old blankets over the couch and chairs? There was something so fun about sitting underneath mom's old sheets. Now think how much more awesome it would be to actually have a bed that looks like a mini house! Enter the toddler house bed, also known as a Montessori floor bed.
These beds are exactly what they sound like: Picture a house-shaped frame above the mattress, complete with windows, a door and a kitchen (OK, just kidding about the kitchen). But now picture your little angel's precious head resting underneath one of these magical creations.
While this may seem like a cool, new way to sleep, the floor bed concept actually dates back to the early 20th century teaching philosophy called the Montessori Method, which focuses on placing everything a child needs to learn and explore at the child's level. So, by placing their bed on the floor, you give children independence and a chance to learn on their own terms.
Here, we've rounded up some of our favorite toddler house beds that are ready to take up residence in dreamland.
Your little baby isn't a baby anymore! Make sure you're prepared for the toddler years with gear and toys you didn't realize you needed for children aged one to three.

The start of a new block for Magic: The Gathering Shadowmoor is the start of a new setting, giving a unique twist to old favorites... and introducing new places, creatures, and characters to the world of MagicTM. Shadowmoor introduces new mechanics and a new card type. When playing the "Aura Mastery" deck, you control the Auras, so you'll control the game! Prison Term and Curse of Chains are Auras that lock down your opponent's creatures. Armored Ascension and Steel of the Godhead are Auras that enhance your own creatures, supercharging them into mighty combatants. Mine Excavation can return an expended Aura from your graveyard to your hand. And Glamer Spinners, which can be played at any time, moves Auras from one permanent to anotherincluding itselfwhen it comes into play! But the fun doesn't end there! When you consider the cards that create surprise blockers and the cards that let you tap your opponent's creatures at will, it will be clear that Auras aren't the only things you've mastered. read more
The "Warrior's Code" deck is a deck you can hear from across the room. It's not that fast and not that subtleit's just brutal, rel...entless, and rip-roaringly face-smashy! It's primed to deliver the kind of whupping that'll leave welts. read more
If burning your opponent to a fine crisp makes you squirm, this isn't the deck for you. But if you love fiery destruction and mayh...em, read on. The Pressure Cooker deck is designed to keep the playing field clear and finish your opponent off with both creature assaults and direct damage. The deck plays a little like a red burn deck, and though it's a bit slower, it compensates by including some larger mid-game creatures. Your plan is to hit your opponent with early creature damage. Then, later in the game, you can aim your direct damage cards like Morbid Hunger and Flame Burst at opposing creatures so yours can keep attacking - or you can aim them directly at your opponent's head. read more
The "Elemental Thunder" deck packs big creatures that become more powerful with every move your opponents make. Everyone will winc...e as you put creature after creature onto the battlefield, each with the potential to single-handedly defeat an opponent in a few turns. You will want to cast your big creatures early and often. Smokebraider, Rampant Growth, and Search for Tomorrow all give big boosts to your mana production. Use Flamekin Harbinger to search your library for the most threatening creature you can find. You won't believe the look on opponents' faces when they're suddenly staring down the business end of an early Verdant Force or Living Hive! This deck relies on some important creatures to defeat multiple opponents. Taurean Mauler looks puny at first glance, but against many opponents it becomes very scary very fast. The same goes for Forgotten Ancient, which gets bigger and bigger with each spell cast. With such huge threats, opponents might gang up to stop you early on. Protect yourself by forging an alliance, but if you get the chance to take out an opponent, go for it. Your planar deck offers support for your huge Elementals. Creature spells cost less on Turri Isle, making it easier to drop big creatures earlier in the game. Tapping a land in the Eloren Wilds produces an extra mana, which is great for casting expensive creature spells. Or you can just pump all that mana into putting +1/+1 counters on Ivy Elemental. On the Isle of Vesuva, creature spells summon two creatures. What could be better than getting two enormous Elementals for the price of one? read more
The noble Kjeldoran Soldiers have teamed up with the crafty Zuran Wizards to build an army that can outfight and outthink any foes.... With the Kjeldoran Cunning deck, youre the general of that army. Youll need all your wits about you to win the fight. In the first few turns of the game, get some Soldiers onto the table. If you see an opportunity to attack, dont hesitate to do so, but be prepared to stay on defense if necessary. Meanwhile, use any extra mana to play deck manipulation spells to improve both the cards in your hand and the cards youll be drawing soon. read more

The creatures of the "Special Forces" deck are all mission specialists - the attackers have huge power and the blockers have enorm...ous toughness. Creatures like Dross Crocodile, Plasma Elemental, and Emissary of Despair inflict devastating damage, while Steel Wall and Arachnoid hold down a rock-solid defense. But what if your foe tries to stop your fragile 5/1 Dross Crocodile with a weenie blocker? That's where your specialized Equipment comes in. Slagwurm Armor and Ensouled Scimitar cover your attackers' weak spots, giving them massive defensive boosts to round them out. Whispersilk Cloak makes an attacker unblockable and untargetable, making its low toughness practically irrelevant. A Cloak-wearing Crocodile can win the game all by itself! read more
Ixidor was the master illusionist who created morph magic, and his legacy is one of trickery and deceit. While playing the Ixidors... Legacy deck, youll pick up right where he left off. Shapeshifting is this decks specialty. Your face-down creatures do it. Your Shapeshifters do it. Cards like Unstable Mutation or Shaper Parasite do it. But the real fun is when you shift the shape of your opponents creatures! Shaper Parasite can drop a small creatures toughness to 0, spelling its immediate doom. Even better, Serendib Sorcerer and Merfolk Thaumaturgist can team up to turn any creature into a not-long-for-this-world 2/0.After youve dealt with your opponents threats, its time to finish the game with some threats of your own. Tidewalker isnt very stable, but it can be gigantic. How big Aeon Chronicler is depends on your hand size, which means it can also be hugeand if its getting too small, you can play Ovinomancer or turn Fathom Seer face up to put a bunch of cards in your hand. As Ixidors heir, youll always have another trick up your sleeve! read more
With the "Golgari Deathcreep" deck, death isn't where life endsit's where it begins. Your graveyard will be your greatest resource... while playing this deck. Why settle for what might be on top of your library when you can instead pick the best dredge card in your graveyard each turn?Start out by getting a card with dredge into your graveyard as early as possible. The best ways to do this are to take down an opposing creature with Darkblast or sacrifice a Shambling Shell after it deals combat damage. Next turn, use that card's dredge ability to return it to your hand. As you stuff your graveyard full of cards from your library, you'll see more cards with dredge in there, giving you more options. Eventually, you'll never need to draw another card from your libraryeverything you need will be in your graveyard.A fat graveyard also gives you lots of juicy, rotting targets for Vigor Mortis, Recollect, and Necromantic Thirst, and your Golgari Grave-Troll and Svogthos, the Restless Tomb will be huge as well. Both creatures are tough to stop (the Grave-Troll regenerates and Svogthos isn't a creature all the time), so either one should let you ooze your way to victory. The scariest card in the deck is Savra, Queen of the Golgari. Each time you sacrifice Shambling Shell with Savra around, you can have your opponent sacrifice a creature and you put a +1/+1 counter on a creature. Even better, you can dredge up the Shell and do it again! To Savra's delight, the deck has plenty of other cards that let you sacrifice creatures, including Thoughtpicker Witch, Golgari Guildmage, and Drooling Groodion. Don't worrythe creatures you send to your graveyard will probably crawl right back out. After playing with the deck, you might want to add some other cards from the Ravnica: City of Guilds set. Life from the Loam fits perfectly: This dredge card starts your graveyard-filling effort early and returns lands (including Svogthos) from your graveyard later on. Adding Grave-Shell Scarab, another read more
The Bait and Switch deck has a lot of tricks up its sleeve. It features a wide variety of "tribal" cards (cards that work with spe...cific creature types) and a lot of cards that allow you to change one creature's type to another. When this deck has time to develop, it can win in very cool ways. The more you play, the more wacky interactions you'll discover. The Mistform creatures are the pillars that hold up the whole deck. Each one can transform into any creature type you want. Turn one into a Zombie to regenerate it with Boneknitter, create Goblins to use with Cabal Slaver, or increase the number of Wizards you control to take advantage of Information Dealer. You can even make your Mistform Wall into a Beast so it can attack. If you can pull all these tricks and more with the cards in your own deck, imagine what'll happen when you face tribal cards in your opponent?s deck! If your foe is giving all Soldiers a bonus, you might as well have some Soldiers too. read more

The One-Two Punch deck, like a heavyweight boxing match, is brutal and direct. Punch one: Put out more creatures than your opponen...t. Punch two: Blow up your opponent's smaller creatures, then attack. Flashback lets you play most of your spells twice, including some that put creatures into play, so you'll be able to amass a huge animal army. Early on, you should fetch extra land with Deep Reconnaissance. After that, One-Two Punch is all about the combat step. This deck can put up to twenty-eight creatures on the table, and its support cards only make them more fearsome. Burn spells like Firebolt and Engulfing Flames clear out chump blockers. Sylvan Might pumps up a creature and gives it trample. You can make crushing surprise attacks by playing a creature, then using Reckless Charge to make it more powerful and give it haste so it can attack immediately. And Seize the Day lets you untap your biggest creature and attack with it again. read more
