Entangling WebsIf you believe that bigger is better, the "Entangling Webs" deck is right up your alley! Loaded with giant predators and crafty spiders, this deck is perfect for an all-out rumble in the jungle. At the top end of the food chain are Garruk's Horde and Arachnus Spinner. The Horde is insanely big in its own right, plus it seeks out more creatures for you to cast! The Spinner lets your Spiders ensnare opposing creatures in Arachnus Webs, making it that mu for you to cast! The Spinner lets your Spiders ensnare opposing creatures in Arachnus Webs, making it that much easier to attack. Don't be shy about attaching an Arachnus Web to a creature with power 4 or greater. It'll immobilize that creature for the rest of the turn, then after Arachnus Web is put into your graveyard, the Spinner's ability can search for it again! The rest of the deck's creatures can do a little of everything. Stampeding Rhino and Vastwood Gorger are better at attacking. Giant Spider is better at blocking. Acidic Slime and Stingerfling Spider can take out an opposing permanent when they show up, then stick around to fight. Based on what your opponent has, you may want to attack witheverything you've got, play defense until you gain a creature advantage (or draw Overrun!), or send in just one big monster while the rest of your forces keep you safe. If you enjoy playing this deck, a perfect addition is Garruk, Primal Hunter. He makes 3/3 Beasts, 7/7 Wurms, and rewards you for having high-powered creatures. Skinshifter is another dynamite choice, since it can transition between off ense and defense depending on what you need at the time.… read more

Goblins have a simple philosophy: Why bother trying to outthink the opposition when you can just set them on fire instead? If this... sounds good to you, join Krenko, Mob Boss with the "Mob Rule" deck. This deck doesn't waste time with subtlety. Its primary tactic is to make a horde of Goblins and attack! Your shrieking battalion includes Goblin Arsonist, which can be lethal even when it dies, Mogg Flunkies, which is surprisingly big but won't attack by itself, and Goblin Battle Jester, which can keep your opponent's creatures from blocking. Krenko himself can double the number of Goblins you have each turn, quickly providing you with an overwhelming force. Goblins aren't the only weapons in your arsenal. Flying, fire-breathing Dragons such as Dragon Hatchling and Furnace Whelp are devastating in the air. Both Trumpet Blast and Cleaver Riot supercharge your attack. Spells like Chandra's Fury and Volcanic Geyser burn away potential blockersor the last remnants of your opponent's life total. Red's outright aggression is well matched to the brutal side of green's nature magic: Titanic Growth and Serpent's Gift are both ways for a 1/1 Goblin to take out a gigantic opposing creature. If you're looking for ways to make this deck even more savage, Thundermaw Hellkite is a great addition. This 5/5 flying Dragon has haste and can clear opposing fliers out of its way! Firewing Phoenix is another red flying creature, and like any good Phoenix, it won't stay dead for long before rising from the ashes. Finally, the planeswalker Chandra, the Firebrand can double your spells and deal plenty of damage in her own right. 1 Arms Dealer 1 Bladetusk Boar 2 Dragon Hatchling 2 Fire Elemental 2 Flinthoof Boar 2 Furnace Whelp 3 Goblin Arsonist 1 Goblin Battle Jester 1 Krenko, Mob Boss 2 Mogg Flunkies 2 Reckless Brute 1 Rummaging Goblin 1 Torch Fiend 1 Chandra's Fury 1 Cleaver Riot 1 Fervor 2 Flames of the Firebrand 1 Kindled Fury 2 Krenko's read more

The "Eldritch Onslaught" deck is a tricky mix of flashback spells and wily creatures. With your bewildering array of magic, you'll... soon have your opponent spinning in circles. With this deck, you want to fill your graveyard as soon as possible. Target yourself with Dream Twist, activate Deranged Assistant's ability even if you don't need the manaeven enchant yourself with Curse of the Bloody Tome. It may sound strange, but it will definitely help you win. Your deck is filled instants and sorceries with flashback, which you can cast from your graveyard. Every time you put one into your graveyard, it's just like drawing another card you can cast! Cast twice as many spells as your opponent, and you're probably well on your way to victory. Many spells in this deck keep your opponent's creatures off the battlefield either by damaging them or by putting them back in their owner's hand or library. Combined with your defensive creatures, you should be able to survive long enough to take control of the game. You might finish your opponent off with Sturmgeist or Charmbreaker Devils or use Burning Vengeance to dominate the late game. After you have a good sense of the deck, there are multiple ways to personalize it. You can concentrate on the library-depletion plan, perhaps with Magic 2012 cards like Jace's Erasure. Twist the focus to your own library, and you can use the instant win condition of Laboratory Maniac. Beef up the flashback content of the deck with cards like Devil's Play, allowing you to deal as much damage as you can afford. twice! read more
The "Fiery Dawn" deck focuses on the power of Humans working together. Since this is an aggressive deck, your primary focus will b...e to cast creatures and start attacking with them as early as possible. Many of your cards provide bonuses whenever another creature shows up on your side. Some bonuses, such as those provided by Kessig Malcontents and Vigilante Justice, deal damage to take out potential blockers so you can attack with ease or shorten the game by taking a chunk out of your opponent's life total. Kruin Striker temporarily makes itself bigger, while Goldnight Commander temporarily makes your entire army bigger. Cathars' Crusade is an enchantment that goes one step beyond that: it makes your entire army bigger permanently! Perhaps the most dynamic card in the deck is Thatcher Revolt. Since it puts three Human tokens onto the battlefield, it can cause your other cards' abilities to trigger three times at once! Of course, it also provides a small army of creatures raring to charge at your opponent. Add in Zealous Conscripts, which recruits one of your opponent's creatures to fight on your side for a turn, and a few damage-dealing spells like Incinerate and Pillar of Flame, and justice will come swiftly indeed. If you'd like to jack up the damage-dealing potential of this deck, Burn at the Stake and Bonfire of the Damned are both ferocious ways to end the game in a torrent of fire. If, instead, you'd like to increase the number of powerful Humans in the deck, the Innistrad card Champion of the Parish is one of the fiercest fighters you could add. read more
The Phyrexian infection has spread to encompass all the colors of Magic. Like any aggressive green-white deck, the "Path of Blight..." deck deploys cheap creatures to the table and then uses combat tricks to ensure that your cards trump theirs. The difference is that since all your creatures have infect, they need to deal only 10 damage to your opponent to ensure your victory! If you can't get the last few poison counters using your creatures, Decimator Web can seal your victory once and for all. Start out by casting Blight Mamba or Plague Myr on your second turn, and keep up the pressure by continuing to cast creatures like Rot Wolf and Priests of Norn. Your deck has creatures at a variety of mana costs, so you'll be able to make use of all of your mana on almost every turn. Use your spells to make sure that your creatures can keep getting through to deal damage to your opponent. Clear blockers out of the way with a Banishment Decree, especially if it lets you push through the massive Phyrexian Hydra. If you see your opponent is planning to "chump block," use Mighty Leap to send your creatures to the air before blocking, or wait for the block to happen and then use Unnatural Predation to make that blocker less eff ective. Of course, other Mirrodin Besieged cards can help you customize your deck. Creeping Corrosion, a sorcery that destroys all artifacts, is the perfect answer to any sort of artifact-based strategy your opponent may be using. And of course, the ultimate fi ghting machine in any infect deck is Blightsteel Colossus, an 11/11 creature with trample and infect that's capable of taking down your opponent with a single attack! Comes with a booster pack to help customize your deck! read more

Impulsive, passionate, and short-tempered, Chandra Nalaar is as ready to explode as the pyromantic spells of her ever-growing repe...rtoire. Chandra's spark ignited when she was still quite young. As she has grown, so has her ability to wield spells of fiery destruction. Th is deck is packed with small, aggressive creatures. Attack early and often to constantly put your opponent on the defensive. Sometimes you have to just forget about blocking and turn up the heat. As long as you have at least 1 life, you are a threat to end the duel at any moment with an X-spell like Blaze, Banefire, or Enrage. It can be tempting to unload your awesome damage spells like Shock and Incinerate on your hapless opponent. However, remember that clearing the way by destroying opposing creatures can often lead to more effi cient damage-dealing. Spells only hit once, but your creatures can attack every turn, especially when your opponent is defenseless! Some of your creatures, like Prodigal Pyromancer and Kamahl, Pit Fighter, can deal damage through the use of their abilities without ever attacking at all. These creatures especially stand out with a Furnace of Rath on the battlefield! read more

The Pressure Cooker deck is designed to keep the playing field clear and finish your opponent off with both creature assaults and direct damage. The deck plays a little like a red burn deck, and though it's a bit slower, it compensates by including some larger mid-game creatures. Your plan is to hit your opponent with early creature damage. Then, later in the game, you can aim your direct damage cards like Morbid Hunger and Flame Burst at opposing creatures so yours can keep attacking - or you can aim them directly at your opponent's head. read more

The start of a new block for Magic: The Gathering Shadowmoor is the start of a new setting, giving a unique twist to old favorites... and introducing new places, creatures, and characters to the world of MagicTM. Shadowmoor introduces new mechanics and a new card type. When playing the "Aura Mastery" deck, you control the Auras, so you'll control the game! Prison Term and Curse of Chains are Auras that lock down your opponent's creatures. Armored Ascension and Steel of the Godhead are Auras that enhance your own creatures, supercharging them into mighty combatants. Mine Excavation can return an expended Aura from your graveyard to your hand. And Glamer Spinners, which can be played at any time, moves Auras from one permanent to anotherincluding itselfwhen it comes into play! But the fun doesn't end there! When you consider the cards that create surprise blockers and the cards that let you tap your opponent's creatures at will, it will be clear that Auras aren't the only things you've mastered. read more

The "Elemental Thunder" deck packs big creatures that become more powerful with every move your opponents make. Everyone will winc...e as you put creature after creature onto the battlefield, each with the potential to single-handedly defeat an opponent in a few turns. You will want to cast your big creatures early and often. Smokebraider, Rampant Growth, and Search for Tomorrow all give big boosts to your mana production. Use Flamekin Harbinger to search your library for the most threatening creature you can find. You won't believe the look on opponents' faces when they're suddenly staring down the business end of an early Verdant Force or Living Hive! This deck relies on some important creatures to defeat multiple opponents. Taurean Mauler looks puny at first glance, but against many opponents it becomes very scary very fast. The same goes for Forgotten Ancient, which gets bigger and bigger with each spell cast. With such huge threats, opponents might gang up to stop you early on. Protect yourself by forging an alliance, but if you get the chance to take out an opponent, go for it. Your planar deck offers support for your huge Elementals. Creature spells cost less on Turri Isle, making it easier to drop big creatures earlier in the game. Tapping a land in the Eloren Wilds produces an extra mana, which is great for casting expensive creature spells. Or you can just pump all that mana into putting +1/+1 counters on Ivy Elemental. On the Isle of Vesuva, creature spells summon two creatures. What could be better than getting two enormous Elementals for the price of one? read more
