To some kids, dollhouses are magic–period. There’s a reason why the classic Barbie Dream House has been an in-demand toy for kids since the 1960s. Dollhouses combine miniatures–currently popular with kids; check any toy aisle in a store, even Walgreens–and young imaginations, but making your own dollhouse furniture, accessories, and family members provides hours of fun. Some dollhouses are so detailed and intricate you’ll wish your own family lived inside of it.
However, take note–dollhouses can be pricey. They’re so niche and specific in shape and style, which ultimately results in high production costs. Thus, most toy dollhouses cost around $100 or more.
