Family travel is about creating new adventures at every turn. Which is precisely why it's time to try something new.
If you’ve read this blog even sporadically over the last 12 months, you know I believe strongly that family travel is about creating new adventures at every turn. It’s about exploring uncharted territory. About trying different things. Put simply, I think family travel is about transcending the ordinary, as a group.
For all of these reasons, it’s time for me to take this show on the road. Literally.
Yes, this means I’ll spend the rest of the year dragging my family to places such as Central California, Hawaii and London (the one in England); to name a few. It also means I’ll be blogging about these adventures somewhere else: The Wandering Pod.
The new blog is solely my own. On it, I’ll publish the same kind of stuff I’ve been publishing here: rants, raves, reviews, features, news analysis, Q&As, and more.
At this point, parts of the new site are a work in progress—in the next few weeks I’ll be holding a contest with a major design company to crowdsource a new logo. I’ll also be doing more with partnerships and sponsorships; if you’re reading this and you represent a company or organization that might be interested, please give a shout.
(Also, to be clear, I’ll still be writing features, essays and intermittent family travel pieces for the print and online versions of Parenting and Babytalk. It’s just this blog that’s changing names and moving on.)
Dear readers, I’m counting on you to follow me and spread the word. The new endeavor starts today. See you over there. Thanks for your continued support.
